About
Megan Boisvert is an abstract painter using spray paint, acrylics, and mixed media. Boisvert’s inspiration comes from nature’s patterns and textures. She mimic’s these designs within her paintings, utilizing elements of sand, soil and various plants. Boisvert has a formalist approach to making art, focused on the emotions that arise while viewing. Her work gives the viewer a chance to engage with the art, free their minds from an explanation, enjoy the feeling that evokes.
Boisvert has her BA in Art & Art History from Florida International University, Miami, FL and a dual MA in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Los Angeles, CA and Claremont Graduate University, Claremont, CA.
Boisvert currently works with Small Businesses, Board Member on the San Diego Museum Council, Outreach & Advocacy Committee Board Leader for San Diego Emerging Museum Professionals, and as a Curator and Community Engagement Artist in San Diego, CA.
